Data Deletion

Last updated: 19 August 2026

You can delete the data Map Pack Machine holds about you at any time. This page explains the three ways to do it, how long each takes, and the small amount we are required to keep afterwards. It also covers how to remove the data we received from Facebook and Instagram.

Three ways to delete your data

1

Delete your whole account

  1. Log in to Map Pack Machine.
  2. Go to Settings, then Account.
  3. Choose Delete account and confirm.

This removes your profile, connected platform tokens, business data, generated content, scheduled posts, uploaded photos, customer contact lists, rank tracking history, audits and reports.

2

Disconnect one platform only

  1. Log in to Map Pack Machine.
  2. Go to Settings, then Connections.
  3. Select the Google, Facebook or Instagram connection and choose Disconnect.

We delete that platform's access and refresh tokens immediately, and the data we cached from it, while your Map Pack Machine account stays open.

3

Email us

If you cannot log in, or you would rather we did it, email hello@mappackmachine.com from the address on your account with the subject line Data deletion request.

We reply within 48 hours and complete the deletion within 7 business days. We may need to confirm your identity first, so that nobody can delete your account on your behalf.

Removing Facebook and Instagram data

If you connected a Facebook Page or an Instagram account, Map Pack Machine may hold your Page and account details, published posts and their performance figures, comments, and direct messages we brought into your inbox.

To remove all of it, use route 2 above and disconnect the Facebook or Instagram connection, or delete your account using route 1.

You can also remove our access from Facebook's side:

  • Open Facebook and go to Settings & Privacy, then Settings.
  • Select Apps and Websites.
  • Find Map Pack Machine in the list and choose Remove.
  • Then email hello@mappackmachine.com with the subject line Data deletion request so we delete the data already stored on our side.

Removing the app in Facebook stops any further access, but it does not by itself erase what we have already stored. Sending us the request is what completes it.

Removing Google Business Profile data

Disconnecting Google in Settings deletes the tokens and the cached profile, post, review and insight data we hold. You can also revoke our access directly at myaccount.google.com/permissions. As with Meta, revoking access there stops future access but does not delete what we already hold, so send us a deletion request as well.

How long it takes

What we keep, and why

  • Billing and tax records. Invoices and payment records are kept for seven years, as Australian tax law requires. Card details are held by Stripe, not by us.
  • Anonymised usage statistics. Aggregated data that no longer identifies you, your business or your customers.
  • Records we are legally required to retain, for as long as the obligation lasts.

Content already published stays published. Posts, photos, replies and captions that Map Pack Machine published to your Google Business Profile, Facebook Page or Instagram account live on those platforms, not on ours. Deleting your data here does not remove them. Delete those directly in Google Business Profile, Facebook or Instagram.

Deleting someone else's data

If you uploaded customer contact details so we could send review requests, you can delete an individual contact, or a whole list, from the Reviews section of the app. If one of your customers contacts us directly asking to be removed, we will delete their details and let you know.
